After a friend's suggestion, we stayed at the Homewood Suites Anaheim Main Gate (Disneyland) property. While staff are pretty familiar with traveling families, it did not stop them from treating our kids like royalty. It was the little things: their toys were picked up and arranged in a funny/cute fashion; staff engaged the kids at breakfast and challenging them to a waffle-eating contest!; helped us bring in two exhausted and asleep kids from the car and opened doors, pushed elevator buttons, quieted other staff/guests as we carried two sleeping kids to our room and put them into bed. The kids loved the hotel! They were sad to leave Disneyland, but they told us they were also sad to leave their "hotel home". Since then, we've stayed twice at the Homewood Suites in San Diego (both times at the Del Mar property) and are in the middle of planning another Disneyland holiday trip this winter, and again staying at the Homewood Suites Main Gate property. With two young kids, convenience is a big deal to my family. Comforts are a welcome luxury. And at Homewood Suites, we are able to find both!
